ABOUT Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU), formerly TUDARCo
Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU) is the outcome of the transformation of Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo) into a fully-fledged University in January 2024. The latter was established in 2003.
It formerly operated as the Waldorf College Tanzania from 1997. The Waldorf College Tanzania (WCT) was established by the Wildorf College, Iowa Forest Hill of the United States of America.
In 2001, the Waldorf College Council decided to close her operations in Tanzania and the College was handed over to the Eastern and Coastal Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ECD-ELCT).
The Waldorf College Tanzania then joined the Tumaini University family and changed its name to Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo).
Thus, TUDARCo was born from WCT on 1st April 2003 as a constituent College of Tumaini University, joining Makumira, KCMUCo and Iringa University College, which existed during that time.
How To check your application status
You need to follow these steps to view you application status:
1. Visit the official University or TCU admission website
2. Go to the ‘Login’ section on the home page of the college website.
3. Log in to your account that you used to apply to join University by entering your Username and Password to access your account.
4. Once you log into your account, you will be welcomed by a message informing you of your application status. If you have been selected, you will see a message saying “Congratulations, you have been selected to join University for the 2024-2025 academic year.”
5. If you have been selected by more than one university, you will see a message indicating that you have Multiple Admission; please confirm your admission. If you have not been selected, you will see a message informing you that you have not been selected and the reason for not being selected.
6. By following these steps, you will be able to check your admission application status at University.
For applicants who have been selected to join University, you need to download the Joining instructions and admission letter and follow all the guidelines and instructions provided in the joining instruction or admission letters regarding registration and other procedures to join the university.

Candidates with single admission are automatically confirmed to join the University.
Candidates with multiple admissions are required to confirm their offers through their admission accounts.
