What is TSCMIS?
Developed by the Teachers Service Commission of Tanzania (TSC) AS an online platform designed specifically for public teachers. It empowers them to manage their employment information and access crucial work-related details conveniently.
The Tanzanian Teachers Service Commission (TSC), established by the Teacher Service Commission Law №25 of 2015, has introduced the Teachers Service Commission Management Information System (TSCMIS).
TEACHER SERVICE DEPARTMENT
Following the Employment and Management Policy in the Public Service of 1999, the Public Service was merged. The Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002 was introduced and repealed the former Teachers’ Service Commission Act No. 1 of 1989.
The Commission was made a Department of the Public Service Commission (PSC) under Article 15(1) of the Act, (b). The department handled all the duties that were being performed by the TSC for teachers employed in Government Schools.

Steps – How to access TSCMIS?
To access TSCMIS do the following:
1. Visit to TSCMIS Portal www.tscmis.go.tz
2 Enter your Check number or email address to create account
3. The default password is 1234 then you will be required to change password –
Please change your password
4. In changing your password from default to personal password for security purposes, make sure that your password meet the following:-
TSCMIS Password Requirements
i. At least one lowercase letter
ii. At least one uppercase letter
iii. At least one numeric character
iv. At least one Special Character
v. Minimum 6 characters
5. You will be logged out. Please enter your user name and password (created recently) to log in again
NB: It is advisable to update your passwords every 90 days, approximately every 3 months
6. Once you logged in you will see Your District Name and Your Name at the top left corner then followed by other menu such as Dashboard, Disciplinary and Query Management.
7. On the right top corner you will see the initial of your name used as your profile photo. If you touch it, you will find Profile and Change Password.
Click on the Profile to se your:
i. Email address
ii. Mobile Number
iii. Date of Birth
iv. Title (Your Current Cheo)
v. Place of Birth
vi. Sex
vii. Your Full Name
viii. Your Check Number
ix. Your TSC Number
What can you do on the TSCMIS Portal?
TSCMIS Portal offers a variety of functionalities that streamline various aspects of public teachers.
Here are some key features:
i. To see your disciplinary cases if you have any accessed on Disciplinary
ii. Query Management – if yo have any query you can create and submit
iii. Promotion Claims – if you have missed a promotion, you can create claims through this window.
