Announcement Of Teaching Training Opportunities For Teaching in Diploma Level For Pre And Primary Education For The Academic Year 2024/2025
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology announces the teaching training positions for the Teaching Diploma in Primary and Primary Education.
The courses that will be offered are the Primary and Primary Education Teaching Diploma (02 years) and the Special Primary Education Teaching Diploma (03 years) in science and mathematics subjects.
Applicants for the Teacher Training Diploma in Primary and Primary Education (02 years) are Sixth Form graduates with Grades One to Three (I-III).
Applicants for teacher training for the Special Teaching Diploma in Primary Education (03 years) in science and mathematics are fourth form graduates with grades one to three (I-III).
This training will be provided in Government colleges and non-Government colleges. Non-Government teaching colleges will provide this training after submitting an application and obtaining it approval of the Commissioner of Education. The Ministry invites applications to join the teaching training in Government and non-Government Colleges based on the qualifications specified in this announcement.
QUALIFICATIONS TO JOIN TEACHING TRAINING
a) Qualifications to join the Teaching Diploma in Primary and Primary Education (02 years) are:
1. Form Six Graduates with grades I-III at the level of “Principal Pass” two (02). In addition, applicants who have studied Economics, Commerce and Book Keeping should apply for a Diploma in Early Education Teaching.
2. Teachers who have graduated from Teacher Training at the Certificate level of Teaching in Pre or Primary Education. In addition, the training applicants who will be selected will be organized into streams according to the performance in the National Teacher’s Examination at the Diploma of Teacher Education level.
b) Qualifications to join the Special Teaching Diploma in Primary Education (03 years) are graduates of the Form Four with grades I-III with a grade of “C” or higher in three subjects, two of which are: Basic Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Information and Computer Studies or Computer Science.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
(i) Graduates of Form Four, sixth form and teachers who have completed the Teaching Diploma in Primary and Primary Education, with the qualifications specified in this announcement are allowed to apply;
(ii) Applicants for Teacher Training in Government Teaching Colleges are required to register and send applications electronically through the admission system of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology ( CLICK HERE TO REGISTER );
(iii) Applicants for Teacher Training for non-Government colleges should send their applications directly to the colleges they want to study and the relevant colleges should submit the qualifications of the applicants to the Tanzania Examinations Council for review;
(iv) The applicant for Teacher training for the Teaching Diploma in Primary and Primary Education (02 years) will choose three (03) courses starting with the one he likes the most;
(v) The applicant for the teaching training for the Special Diploma in Primary Education (03 years) will choose three (03) specializations starting with the one he likes the most;
(vi) Answers for those who will be selected to join the Teaching Training in the Government Teaching Colleges will be provided in the system through “account” used by the applicant to apply for Teacher training (starting from the date 25/08/2024) and in the Teaching Colleges they were selected;
(vii) Forms to join the Training will be provided through the website of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology ( www.moe.go.tz ) and the College that will be arranged for the applicant using his address. All applicants are advised to write the full address, email address and telephone number available for further communication; and
(viii) Answers and forms to join the College for those who will be selected to join the Teaching Training in non-Government Teaching Colleges will be provided by the respective colleges.
